The thing that usually differentiates the good projects from the not so good ones, is the size and seriousness of the problem they set out to solve. As you’ll soon find out, they don’t come much bigger than what AquaSave has set out to solve. 👀
Our planet is on the brink of a very serious issue - we’re running out of water! Well, not the water you see on the map; actually it’s bizarre that we call this place Earth when most of the surface is covered by ocean…
Salty seawater is not what we humans require for drinking and food production. Humans rely heavily upon freshwater, yet this makes up less than 3% of all the water on our planet. What’s worse, most of that freshwater is stored in the ground or frozen in ice. The real amount that’s available to us is but a mere fraction of that 3%.
With the threat of rising temperatures and an overpopulation crisis that’s spiralling out of control, it’s only a matter of time before our demand outweighs supply. Experts like McKinsey&Co. predict this milestone could be reached as early as 2030.
To put it bluntly - we’re screwed. 😱
That is unless we change our ways and come up with innovative methods to surmount this challenge. And that’s exactly what the AquaSave team has set out to do.
